FAQ’s

Hopefully all your questions can be answered here – otherwise please email with your specific enquiry.

 

How do I register/book?

Registration and bookings can be done via our online booking system- click here, by telephone on: 01242 255111 or in person at the studios at an appointed time (please email – click here to schedule).

To register, you will need to fill out our Client Registration Form at the studios on your first visit so please arrive ten minutes early.

If you wish to book for a class, we kindly ask that you make payment for it at the time of booking.

How do I choose a class?

Our beginners’ Mat and Yoga classes are the first place to start if you have never practiced Pilates or Yoga. If you are fit and healthy, you can also jump straight into Barre classes. If you have practiced before, all our classes will be adaptable for you.

I have never worked on Pilates Equipment but can I try it out?

If you are new to the Pilates Reformer and large Equipment or new to our studio on the equipment, you will need to book a private appointment with us first so that we can assess your needs and abilities and suggest your class options. This initial appointment is charged at concessionary rates: £40 (for 45min) private or you may wish to share with a friend and pay £25 each (for 55min).

How do I reschedule a class?

You can entirely manage your class schedule online through our bookings software once you are registered. It’s relatively easy but if you need any help, we will happily show you how when you are in the studio. Please note that all changes must be made within 24 hours of the class you are rescheduling!

If you are enrolled in our termly Reformer and Equipment classes, you can reschedule to another class at a suitable level for you within that termly block, where you see a space on the system.

If you are attending any of our Collective classes in the Top Studio, you can also use our online system to chop and change your classes as you wish, within your payment expiry dates.

How does the waitlist work?

If you don’t see a space in your chosen class, you can opt to waitlist for that class. You will be sent an email and offered a place if a space opens up within that particular class.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable workout clothes (cycling shorts under baggy shorts for men). You have the option to work barefooted or in grippy toe socks in the top studio but you must wear socks (regular or grippy toe socks) of some description when on the Reformers/Equipment for hygiene reasons. The studios all have a NO Shoe policy.

What do I bring?

It is a good idea to always bring a water bottle to every class. You may want a small towel, especially in Barre (as you are likely to sweat). Please do bring your own Yoga mat too if you wish, although we have plenty you can borrow without charge.

We expect everyone to wipe clean their mats and equipment after each session – cleaning towels are provided.

How long is each session?

Each Collective class is 55 minutes long. Most Reformer/Equipment sessions are 55 minutes. Private sessions are generally 45 minutes long.

Does ONE GROVE have Showers?

Yes, we have 2 showers (bring your own towel) and a big communal and 2 private changing rooms. We also have secure lockers for your valuables and ample hanging & storage space for your things.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: All classes are charged whether used or not.

Should you need to cancel your session, please be aware that ONE GROVE operates a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please note, your account will not be re-credited if you should cancel inside the 24 hour period.

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice: Classes will be credited back to your account to reschedule.

You can re-book your cancelled Collective classes, Reformer and Equipment classes and duo/private appointments within their expiration dates. Note that duo classes must be either used or cancelled in their entirety and may not be split between attendees.

Refunds are generally unallowable and only given in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the General Manager.

What if I am pregnant?

Please talk to our team directly if you are pregnant. We will be able to advise you what you can and can’t do with us.

Are you open 24/7, 365 days a year?

No, unfortunately we can’t be. Our bodies need rest periods too! But we try and remain flexible in what we can offer you, where we can. Please see below for periods when we are closed or working on a reduced schedule.

TERM DATES

Please note that the studio will be closed for Equipment Classes on the following days. Please check your expiry dates on your purchases and be mindful of our closures. If you would like to book alternative or additional classes, you can do this directly online or we can help you- please ask. We may be available during closure periods for private appointments on request. There will be a reduced schedule of Equipment Classes August 7-18th.

There will be a reduced schedule of Yoga/Mat/Barre classes over these time periods.
